Every Client Gets a Full Financial Plan

Every client gets a full financial plan designed for them before any service contracts are written at no charge to the client.  They are a core part of the value I offer clients and I believe they are essential to a healthy client advisor relationship.

Why do Financial Plans matter?

You get to see your financial plan before you sign any service contract. It lets you understand how I would be managing your money and why a given investment matches the goal it’s invested to support.

Your financial plan takes an inventory of your savings and investments so I understand how the portfolio I’ll be managing will support your overall financial health and will let me show you the areas of strength you have and areas that you may be vulnerable.

It lets you see how your investments are likely to do over time so you can evaluate your savings rate and make informed adjustments if needed.

The plans include multiple portfolios with multiple strategies to pick from so we can talk about your risk tolerances and I can make sure we are in agreement about what kind of investments you want and the strategies we use.

We each will have the plan as a reference so you always have it on hand to know what I’m doing to grow and protect your money and I will have it on hand to make sure I don’t let the portfolio drift too far from your goals.

If I were to die or you were to move outside of the area I can service you may need another advisor to manage your portfolio.  You could walk in the new advisor’s door, show them the plan, and they would be able to pick up and continue the service uninterrupted until they make you a new plan.

It’s not just about what investments are held in the portfolio but the strategy used to manage them.  When we choose to buy or sell, at what amounts, and why, based on the current health of the economy, all have a huge effect on investment performance and the chosen plan will lay out in writing how to execute that.
